Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our Operations Team in the position of General Manager.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the transformation of APL Logistics Turkey as a key part of our EMEA strategy
- Optimising and leading the growth of our Turkey country operations with a focus on our consolidation activities
- Establishing our Regional Export Control Tower operations and developing best in class customer solutions to support our regional export strategy
- Responsibility of P&L for the financial performance of the country and to drive margin improvement across all products
- Owning key operational metrics: Delivery Time, Service Level Agreements, Continuous Proactivity, and response to the customers
- Managing the continuous customer communication, increasing Customer Service Performance
- Implementing strategic projects within Turkey and aligning on a regional level
- Working closely with other stakeholders in the region and strengthening relationships
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Logistics related field preferred or equivalent
- Strong background and proven experience in freight forwarding, procurement, order management within the logistics industry
- At least 8 years’ experience within a leadership position
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills through prior experience ideally on a regional level
- Proven track-record of meeting and improving relevant KPIs
- Excellent customer-service orientation
- Fluency in both Turkish and English are essential
