Freight Handler – Lake Clark Air

About the Role:
As a Freight Handler, you will be responsible for the daily intake, processing, billing, and tracking of freight shipments from arrival to final delivery. This is a full-time position. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and intake freight shipments from customers and vendors
- Accurately weigh, label, and log all incoming and outgoing freight
- Bill freight charges using company systems and ensure correct documentation
- Track freight throughout its journey to final destination
- Communicate with pilots, ground crew, and customers regarding freight status and delivery updates
- Ensure freight is handled safely, securely, and efficiently to prevent damage or loss
- Maintain a clean and organized freight intake and storage area
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and dollies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn freight tracking software
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Previous freight or warehouse experience is a plus but not required
