Our Kansas City warehouse is our newest growth location, and we're looking for a hands-on operator to run it.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager/Location Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of the warehouse, supervising and leading staff. This role is critical to ensuring efficient daily operations and reaching company business goals. The Warehouse Manager is present on the warehouse floor, operates equipment as needed, and follows company policies and safety standards.

You will lead a team of 30–40 employees (growing to 60–80) with 2–3 supervisors reporting directly to you, and you will report to our Director of Operations.

Training

The first 3–4 weeks of this role are spent at our headquarters in Sacramento, CA for hands-on training with our operations leadership. Travel and lodging are fully covered by JustBid. Please only apply if you are able to commit to this training period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and coordination of warehouse employees involved in receiving, storing, inventorying, processing, and picking products.
  • Oversee multiple departments and ensure effective daily operations. Schedule and plan workforce operations.
  • Hire, coach, and manage performance of warehouse staff, including documentation of write-ups and corrective action when needed.
  • Onboard and train new employees, and ensure all staff maintain required certifications.
  • Maintain clear, positive communication with management, employees, supervisors, and customers.
  • Monitor and track performance across all areas of responsibility with the ability to meet goals.
  • Achieve maximum customer service by maintaining high quality standards.
  • Ensure company policies are followed and administered consistently.
  • Manage inventory of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Utilize team and resources to manage loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience managing 40+ warehouse employees in a fast-paced distribution, fulfillment, or e-commerce environment.
  • Previous experience with 3 or more direct reports (supervisors or leads).
  • Experience hiring, firing, scheduling, and developing hourly staff.
  • Positive, open-minded, with strong leadership skills.
  • Time management, efficiency, and an ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Communication skills and an ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and weather.

Pay & Benefits:

  • $80,000–$100,000 base, depending on experience.
  • Paid training in Sacramento, CA (travel and lodging covered).
  • PTO after probation period.
