Title: Logistics Specialist

Company: Alpi Investment

Location: Sofia, Sofia City, Bulgaria

About Alpi Investment

Alpi Investment is an Amazon-native e-commerce company and one of Bulgaria’s most successful Amazon sellers. With our own natural-product brands, a team of nearly 100 people, and certified production and fulfilment operations in Sofia and Dupnitsa, we have built a profitable and growing international business. We are now expanding beyond Amazon and developing two new engines for future growth.

To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Logistics Specialist to own the physical flow of goods—from local, EU, and overseas suppliers to Amazon fulfilment centres and B2B customers—while ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, compliance, and reliability.

Our supply chain is fully aligned with Amazon’s FBA infrastructure across Europe, the UK, and the USA. In this role, you will manage Alpi’s freight and logistics operations, including ocean shipments of raw materials and packaging from China and other overseas suppliers, road freight into Amazon fulfilment centres, and deliveries to B2B customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Ocean Freight: Plan and coordinate FCL and LCL shipments of raw materials and packaging from overseas suppliers.
  • Road Freight Management: Plan, book, and monitor LTL and FTL shipments to Amazon fulfilment centres worldwide and to B2B customers.
  • Partner Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive transport rates and service terms while balancing cost, speed, and reliability.
  • Customs and Import Compliance: Manage customs procedures, importer-of-record requirements, Incoterms, and all necessary import and shipping documentation.
  • Amazon FBA Coordination: Ensure shipments comply with Amazon’s inbound requirements across Europe, the UK, and the USA.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and improve key logistics indicators, including landed cost, lead time, on-time delivery, damages, and FBA inbound compliance.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve delays, documentation discrepancies, customs issues, damaged shipments, and other operational challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: At least five years of professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation, covering both ocean and road freight.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of FCL, LCL, LTL, and FTL transportation.
  • Customs Expertise: Practical knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, import requirements, and international shipping documentation.
  • Partner Management: Hands-on experience managing freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Commercial Awareness: A strong focus on controlling costs, reducing lead times, and improving service reliability.
  • Language: Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Organization: Excellent planning, coordination, and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and customers.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive, ownership-driven approach and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and operational challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with transportation management systems or ERP platforms.
  • Experience coordinating shipments with suppliers in China and Southeast Asia.
  • Knowledge of EU import requirements, extended producer responsibility regulations, and importer-of-record processes.
  • Previous experience with Amazon FBA inbound logistics.
  • A valid driving licence.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Full-time employment with a competitive salary and performance-based variable pay.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Additional health insurance, food vouchers, and a Multisport card.
  • Real Ownership: A tangible, responsibility-heavy role in which you will directly influence the cost, speed, and reliability of our international supply chain.
  • Professional Growth: A structured onboarding programme, close collaboration with company management, and opportunities for continuous learning and career development.
  • International Exposure: The opportunity to manage significant ocean and road-freight volumes across Europe, the UK, the USA, China, and other international markets.
  • Dynamic Environment: A fast-moving and results-oriented workplace within a profitable company that takes operational excellence seriously.
  • Modern Workplace: The opportunity to work from our operations in Dupnitsa or Sofia, depending on the role’s requirements and your location.
