We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead a dynamic warehouse operation based in Tullamarine.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in warehouse operations, freight handling, and compliance within regulated environments (including Dangerous Goods and Customs).
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations
Oversee the receipt, checking, storage, and dispatch of goods in compliance with internal procedures and external regulations
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients, and regulatory bodies
Ensure compliance with Customs, OH&S, and other regulatory standards
Manage warehouse documentation, inventory systems, and record-keeping (including QIRs, Document Change Requests, training records)
Plan and manage loading, movement, and storage of cargo, including Dangerous Goods
Conduct staff appraisals and training, and manage team performance and development
Take accountability for equipment maintenance, site safety, and operational quality
Review purchase orders, liaise with approved suppliers, and support continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
Proven leadership experience in a warehouse management or senior supervisory role
Strong understanding of freight operations, international shipping, and logistics compliance
Confident in handling Dangerous Goods and overseeing safe transport practices
Forklift licence (mandatory); additional training in Load Restraint or DG handling is desirable
Excellent communication and team management skills
Able to manage change, drive innovation, and meet service delivery standards
High attention to detail with a safety-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift Licence (Essential)
Year 10 or equivalent education minimum
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Desirable)
Dangerous Goods or Load Restraint Certification (Highly Desirable)
