JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking an OTR Fleet Dispatcher for an award-winning fleet company. The ideal candidate understands trucking and knows what it takes to keep trucks moving safely and profitably. The successful candidate will be looking at a fleet of approximately 45 trucks, available freight, customer commitments, driver hours and equipment locations and develop a practical plan that works. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their decisions and understand that successful dispatching requires balancing customer service, profitability, driver productivity and safety.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of commercial OTR dispatching experience required.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of Federal Hours-of-Service regulations.
- Experience dispatching drivers while maintaining compliance with Federal, State and local HOS requirements
- Strong understanding of trucking operations, freight planning and transportation logistics
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous freight brokerage experience
- Experience dispatching larger fleets
- Strong transportation software experience
- Experience with Specialized Truckload freight
- LTL freight experience
