Agay Barho is seeking a diligent UK Truck Dispatcher to oversee and coordinate daily road freight operations remotely. This role requires an individual with a strong background in UK transport operations, route planning, load management, and effective communication with drivers and clients. The ideal candidate operates independently, maintaining accurate transport records and managing bookings through Haulage Exchange or similar platforms. This position does not involve team management but demands proactive coordination and problem-solving to ensure timely and efficient deliveries across the UK.
The role involves continuous monitoring of freight movements, resolving operational issues swiftly, and updating Transportation Management Systems to reflect accurate and timely information. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, proficiency in common business software including Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace, and be capable of executing Responsibilities
in a remote work environment supported by a stable internet connection. The candidate's prior experience in UK logistics or as a UK Truck Dispatcher will be critical to successfully fulfilling these duties and contributing to the operational excellence of Agay Barho.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transport and freight operations throughout the United Kingdom, ensuring smooth and efficient flow of goods.
- Plan optimal routes and assign freight loads to drivers based on scheduling, delivery deadlines, and capacity planning.
- Manage all freight bookings using Haulage Exchange or comparable platforms to maintain accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
- Maintain open and clear communication with UK-based drivers and clients, facilitating dispatch coordination and addressing any service-related inquiries.
- Monitor ongoing deliveries to track progress, anticipate potential delays, and resolve operational issues proactively to minimize disruptions.
- Update and maintain transport records meticulously within Transportation Management Systems to provide reliable data for reporting and operational oversight.
- Utilize Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace tools proficiently to organize schedules, communicate effectively, and manage documentation remotely.
- Work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating discipline, initiative, and strong time management to meet operational demands.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of UK transport regulations, industry practices, and route planning frameworks to optimize dispatch operations.
- Coordinate effectively with drivers to enhance route execution and service responsiveness, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of freight operations by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting actionable solutions.
