Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial trucks to transport freight across local, regional, or over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Whether you’re experienced in refrigerated trailer hauling, flatbed, tanker, or specialized cargo, your contributions will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, on designated routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency.Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations.Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes.SkillsProven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for delivery or logistics cargo handling.Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures for various cargo types such as freight, hazardous materials, or specialty loads like tanker or flatbed shipments.Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and manual handling techniques for cargo management.Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for efficient route planning.Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and hazardous materials regulations.Experience with delivery driving across over-the-road (OTR) routes or local/regional deliveries.Skills in truck loading/unloading equipment operation such as forklifts when necessary for cargo handling.Join us to drive your career forward in a role that values safety, efficiency, and professionalism!
