A dynamic logistics and freight forwarding firm operating across the UAE, we specialize in end-to-end import/export operations, customs coordination, and global cargo management. Our team thrives on precision, speed, and client-first service—ensuring seamless cross-border movement of goods for SMEs and multinational clients. We’re scaling our operations team and seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Ticketing Agent to support our growing air and sea freight bookings.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process and validate air and ocean freight booking requests, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with carrier and customs regulations.
- Issue and manage e-tickets, manifests, and shipping instructions for domestic and international freight movements.
- Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal logistics teams to confirm space, rates, and transit timelines.
- Maintain real-time updates in our TMS (Transportation Management System) and respond to client inquiries regarding shipment status.
- Resolve booking discrepancies, reschedule cargo, and escalate issues to supervisors with detailed action reports.
- Ensure all ticketing records comply with IATA, ICAO, and local UAE port authority guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- IATA certification (or actively pursuing)
- Experience with freight booking systems (e.g., CargoWise, Magenta, or similar TMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, data entry)
- Strong familiarity with air/sea freight documentation (AWB, BL, CN22, etc.)
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to interpret ICAO/IATA codes and global port/route mapping
- Preferred
- Basic Arabic language skills (for regional communication)
- Experience with UAE Port Authority or customs documentation systems
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and freight forwarding operations
