Summary

Provide sales leadership to develop and support new and existing sales for all complex integrated fulfilment and warehousing solutions spanning existing and new facilities within North America. Responsibilities include the identification, value proposition and sales of all fulfilment solutions, offering an integrated approach in synergy with the related account teams.

The SVP of Business development will be responsible for growing out client’s warehousing and transportation portfolio across the United States. This position will oversee the onboarding of new clients as well as focus on renewal strategies and other business opportunities for current clients with a heavy focus on the retail, CPG, healthcare, and FMCG industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and establish a strong understanding of our client’s service offerings and capabilities.

Create a comprehensive sales strategy and business plan for the department with a heavy focus on our clients’ new and existing clients.

Identify specific accounts and opportunities as targets.

Develop business development strategy based on short- and long-term Company objectives.

Plan, organize and build the sales and support team competencies necessary to sell, develop, and deliver full solution offerings.

Introduce influential relationships with multiple contacts with key clients

Responsible for seeking out, targeting and contacting prospective customers within target markets, both existing and new markets

Build and maintain a strong working relationship with internal Operations, Finance and Facility management teams.

Lead the Sales vision based on competitor and industry trends.

Be knowledgeable of competitor and industry trends.

Develop goals and procedures for the sales department.

Develop KPI’s for sales targets within the sales organization.

Education and Experience:

BA, BS, degree preferred and or higher degree of education

15-20 plus years of progressive industry experience within transportation, warehouse operations and freight forwarding.

The ideal candidate will have an established book of business that align with our clients industry vertical focus (retail, CPG, healthcare, and FMCG, electronics, technology, and automotive)

Contract logistics sales experience preferred.

Compensation

Base Salary $225,000-275,000

Commission/ Bonus Opportunity
