Overview
Supply Chain Analyst Jobs in United States at Cafe Valley, Inc.
Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Company: Cafe Valley, Inc.
Location: United States
Position summary: The Supply Chain Analyst is the instrumentation of the Supply Chain organization. Leadership flies the operation on the data this role gathers, prepares, validates, and presents. If the data is wrong, decisions are wrong. The role exists to make sure they never are.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Own the recurring collection, preparation, and presentation of operational data across Supply Chain functions, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and customer service.
- Validate all data before it is presented: confirm it is accurate, relevant, and the right data for the question being asked.
- Build and maintain recurring KPI scorecards and operational performance dashboards for leadership.
- Analyze trends, variances, and performance gaps and translate operational activity into meaningful business insights.
- Monitor customer-specific supply chain KPIs and service-level metrics.
- Continuously improve reporting processes, tools, and standards, including through the application of AI.
Inventory Visibility & Analysis
- Analyze inventory levels, aging, movement, and accuracy trends across internal locations and outside storage facilities.
- Identify slow-moving inventory, aging exposure, and operational inefficiencies.
- Support inventory governance, root cause analysis, reconciliation support, and related reporting.
Transportation & Outside Storage Support
- Analyze transportation activity, freight trends, and related operational metrics.
- Support oversight and visibility of outside cold storage and external warehouse performance.
- Identify service gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring operational issues and escalate as appropriate.
Claims Management & Resolution Support
- Manage and coordinate freight claims, customer claims, and damage-related claims.
- Organize supporting documentation, maintain claims tracking visibility, and support resolution follow-through.
Financial & Month-End Support
- Assist with month-end tracking and reporting activities for Supply Chain.
- Support invoice tracking, accrual preparation, and operational expense visibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the SVP of Supply Chain.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated, hands-on analytical ability. Capability is weighted over years of tenure; we care far more about what you can do than where you have been.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data modeling) and the broader Microsoft Office environment.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or comparable) to multiply analytical output, accelerate data preparation, and raise the quality of finished work.
- Proven ability to translate raw, imperfect operational data into clear, decision-ready reporting for leadership.
- A validation instinct: the habit of pressure-testing numbers for reasonableness, relevance, and accuracy before presenting them.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective with both operational and executive audiences.
- Self-directed and organized; able to build, own, and execute recurring work with minimal oversight from day one.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain operations: inventory management, transportation, warehousing, operational reporting, or claims handling.
- Hands-on familiarity with ERP, WMS, or TMS platforms (SYSPRO, Megatrak, or comparable systems).
- Experience working with outside cold storage providers and third-party logistics partners.
- Experience managing or coordinating freight, customer, or damage claims through resolution.
- Experience supporting month-end close activities, accruals, or operational financial reporting.
- Experience building KPI scorecards or operational dashboards from scratch.
- Working knowledge of food manufacturing, distribution, or other regulated supply chain environments.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
