Senior Transportation Manager

Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 + Bonus + LTI/Equity + Benefits
A fast-growing and rapidly expanding food organization is looking to hire a Senior Transportation Manager to help optimize and improve its existing transportation and last-mile deliveries. This role will support the supply chain team as it continues to grow and scale across the West Coast in line with the company’s aggressive expansion plans. The Senior Transportation Manager will ensure that delivery drivers and distribution operations run on time and that the required vehicles are operating as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports.
Oversee a total team of approximately 200, including 150 drivers (Independent Contractors and W2 staff).
Build and implement procedures and policies to ensure top industry standards for deliveries.
Measure KPIs and implement continuous improvement practices for factors such as environment, health, safety, cost, and on-time delivery to maximize the customer experience.
Champion all delivery processes and promote adjustments to achieve required targets and goals in line with company standards and growth targets.
Collaborate with HR to ensure all colleagues, team members, drivers, and staff receive necessary coaching, support, and encouragement.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Bachelor’s degree (ideally in an analytical subject).
5+ years of experience in transportation and deliveries.
Proven experience managing 100+ drivers (minimum).
Strong process improvement and cost-saving accomplishments.
Experience managing teams of direct reports.
