Main tasks and key responsibilities:
Shipment execution and Operations
· Manage end-to-end shipment execution from booking to file closure.
· Coordinate with agents, carriers, vendors, trucking and customs teams to ensure smooth import/export operations.
· Optimise booking, routing and operational performance.
Documentation, compliance and system accuracy
· Prepare and validate shipping documentation (issue HBL to the customer, submit SI/VGM/… to the carrier) and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain accurate and timely system updates, reports and data quality.
Customer service, exception Management
· Monitor shipment milestones, manage operational exceptions and provide proactive customer communication.
· Drive service recovery and continuous service improvement.
Cost control, invoice and profit optimization
· Perform cost booking, support invoicing and resolve billing discrepancies
· Control operational costs and support profitability.
Stakeholder coordination and team support
· Collaborate with Sales, Product and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
· Share knowledge, support junior team members and promote operational best practices.
Qualifications:
· University degree in Logistics, Transportation, International Business, Economics or related fields is preferred;
· Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in sea/ocean freight import and export operations;
· Solid knowledge of shipment handling, documentation, compliance and forwarding processes;
· Good English, communication and customer service skills, with strong problem-solving ability;
· Commercial mindset with attention to service quality, operational efficiency and profit optimization;
· Proficient in MS Office and freight forwarding systems
· Detail-oriented, responsible, collaborative and able to work independently while leading by example.
