Job Overview:
The Senior Key Account Executive will manage strategic client relationships within the logistics and supply chain sector, ensuring exceptional service delivery, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of logistics operations, freight solutions (air, ocean, land), and supply chain challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management
- Act as the main liaison for key clients (e.g., manufacturers, retailers), addressing logistics needs (freight forwarding, warehousing, customs clearance).
- Proactively resolve operational issues (delays, documentation, compliance) with internal teams (operations, customs, carriers).
2. Business Growth
- Expand account revenue through cross-selling (e.g., value-added services like warehousing, last-mile delivery, insurance).
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and logistics partners.
3. Logistics Expertise
- Advise clients on optimizing supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
- Stay updated on industry trends (e.g., digital freight platforms, sustainability initiatives).
4. Travel Requirements
- Domestic/International Travel: Up to 30% for client meetings, site visits (warehouses/ports), and industry events.
- On-Site Support: Occasional visits to key hubs or ports to oversee operations or resolve critical issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Experience: 5+ years in key account management within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
2. Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of logistics processes (incoterms, customs regulations, freight documentation).
- Proficiency in logistics software (WMS / TMS) and CRM tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment.
3. Education: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business.
