About The Role
Based in our central Dunedin office, we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude to join our fun, supportive team, where people genuinely enjoy working together. The Sample Collection Technician delivers accurate and reliable sample collection services by coordinating customer bookings with collection agents, managing sample metadata in Oritain systems, and ensuring sampling activities meet customer and contractual requirements. This role will be a great fit for someone with 1-2 years’ work experience in a fast-paced administration, logistics, customer service, operations support, or a similar coordination-focused role.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating sample collections with our global network of collection partners.
- Tracking and managing collection progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintaining accurate sample records and documentation within Oritain systems.
- Ensuring sampling activities meet quality, compliance, and customer requirements.
- Supporting the smooth and timely flow of samples through the testing process.
- Proactively identifying and resolving issues to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Skills & Experience
- Enjoys coordinating processes, keeping things organised, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Is comfortable working with data and systems and takes pride in maintaining accurate records.
- Communicates confidently and enjoys working with a range of internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change and multiple tasks need to be managed simultaneously.
- Is naturally detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to solve problems before they become issues.
- Familiar with Agile, lean, or continuous improvement principles.
- Is looking to build a career in operations, supply chain, logistics, customer delivery, or programme coordination within a global organisation.
