Join a fun team at a local family owned business. Retail Lumber Yard and Hardware store is looking for Full Time Sales Associates. Job includes greeting customers, helping them with their purchases using POS Software, loading customers, stocking freight, unloading trucks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet customers in person or on the phone.Answer customers’ questions about merchandise.Place orders for “special order products”.Itemize and total customer merchandise selection at checkout counter, using cash register, and accept cash or charge card for purchases.Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons. Transport packages to customers’ vehicles – possibly using a forklift.Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers.May periodically take physical count of stock or check and mark merchandise.May be responsible for ordering product.Locate products from computer or in the store.Fill out forms, determine charges for service requested, and collect payment.Unload freight trucks and stock supplies.Stocking, receiving and rotating products.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED.Ability to calculate math equations.Ability to operate a forklift.Ability to make change for cash payments.Good phone and computer skills.The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
