Regional CDL-A Driver (home every other day) Jobs in North Chili, NY at C&M Forwarding, Inc.

Operate a commercial vehicle to transport product between destinations while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

This is a full-time position, home every other day, REGIONAL OTR. Trip schedule is Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday with departures between 10:00 pm and 2:00 am.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Driver to transport customer product in a safe and timely manner.

Driver responsibilities include planning each route based on road and traffic conditions

and managing payments. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction,

making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for

this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no

traffic violations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Safely operate a straight truck to deliver products to our customers in accordance with all company and federal/DOT rules and regulations
  • Ensure product is properly loaded and secured for safe and timely delivery
  • Maintain and prepare daily logs to include Pre and Post trip inspections
  • Immediately report any customer or equipment issues or incidents to the Dispatch
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers
  • Primarily dock to dock / drop and hook / NO TOUCH FREIGHT
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Valid Class A license with HazMat endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience
  • Safe driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak English and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental abilities to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.

  • The associate must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
  • The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
