Pricing Specialist

Place of work: Budapest

Organizational unit: GSC BUD

Working hours: 8:00–17:00 (office hours)

Hybrid working model – the first 3 months are office-based, followed by a 50% working from the office / 50% working from home

On Hungarian holidays and rest days, office work schedule based on prior arrangement.

  • MAIN CONTENT OF THE JOB:

The purpose of the position is to support the global pricing process for freight forwarding tenders and customer requests by preparing, coordinating, analysing and validating pricing information.

The Pricing Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, regional and country pricing teams, commercial teams and other Global Service Center functions to ensure accurate, complete and competitive pricing submissions.

  • TASKS:

Based on the assigned responsibilities and pricing processes, the following tasks may apply:

  • Analysing customer RFQs, pricing instructions and related documentation
  • Reviewing customer requirements, identifying exceptions and open questions, and coordinating required clarifications with internal stakeholders
  • Preparing and structuring pricing templates (IPT/CPT) for pricing launches
  • Preparing and launching RFQs to regional and country pricing teams
  • Collecting, consolidating and validating pricing submissions from different countries and regions
  • Monitoring country feedback and following up on missing or incorrect information
  • Reviewing rates, charge codes, formats and other pricing data for accuracy and consistency
  • Performing pricing sanity checks and identifying inconsistencies, outliers and logical errors
  • Preparing analysis of high-volume lanes and pricing submissions
  • Comparing pricing against benchmarks, existing rates, market levels and customer targets
  • Supporting pricing strategy and preparation for internal review and pre-submission calls
  • Preparing and consolidating pricing remarks and terms & conditions for customer submission
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of final pricing offers
  • Maintaining and updating pricing templates and related documentation
  • Supporting rate loading and implementation activities after successful tender awards
  • Preparing and updating relevant pricing information in internal systems and tools
  • Providing analysis and support to the relevant stakeholders throughout the pricing process
  • Performing other pricing-related tasks assigned by the manager
  • DEADLINE AND REGULAR TASKS:
  • Reviewing and processing RFQ documentation according to defined deadlines
  • Preparing and updating pricing templates
  • Coordinating pricing launches with countries and regions
  • Monitoring and following up on pricing submissions
  • Consolidating and validating pricing data
  • Performing regular consistency and sanity checks
  • Preparing pricing analysis and benchmarking
  • Supporting submission preparation according to customer requirements
  • Updating pricing-related systems and documentation
  • Ensuring all required deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines
  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of pricing data
  • Ensuring compliance with customer pricing instructions and internal processes
  • Identifying and escalating pricing discrepancies, exceptions and potential issues
  • Coordinating effectively with country, regional and commercial stakeholders
  • Supporting the delivery of accurate and competitive pricing solutions
  • Ensuring agreed deadlines and pricing process requirements are met
  • Maintaining high data quality in pricing templates and systems
  • Following the company’s internal regulations, instructions and procedures at all times
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR FILLING THE JOB:

Education: Higher education preferred

Preferred qualification: Experience or knowledge in logistics, freight forwarding, pricing, finance or a related field

Professional experience: Experience in a similar field, such as pricing, logistics, freight forwarding, finance, tender management or data analysis, is an advantage

Language knowledge: Active knowledge of English language, both spoken and written

Other:

  • Confident MS Office skills, especially Excel
