The Role
We’re seeking a Part-Time Operations Assistant to help keep our freight operations running smoothly during the busiest hours of the morning. This person will work closely with our operations and sales teams, providing hands-on support to ensure loads are scheduled, tracked, and documented correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor active shipments and update tracking information.
- Communicate with carriers and drivers for status updates.
- Assist with entering loads, invoices, and customer details into our system.
- Follow up on missing documents (PODs, invoices, rate confirmations).
- Support the team with daily operational tasks to keep freight moving on time.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, email, and logistics software.
- Preferred: Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
