Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely to our client’s warehouses and ports.. You’ll be expected to maintain high safety standards, follow all traffic regulations, and work closely with coworkers and other members of our supply chain to ensure efficient, reliable operations.
Duties
- Operate Class‑A (semi) commercial vehicles
- Safely transport freight to assigned destinations, complying with all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform intermodal operations (port work)
- Secure containers and set up refrigeration (reefer) units
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Keep accurate delivery records, including mileage logs and fuel usage
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and team members about schedules or transport issues
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Ability to obtain HazMat endorsement and TWIC
- Minimum 2 years’ consecutive experience driving a Class A semi with a fifth wheel
- Working knowledge of intermodal trucking operations
- Familiarity with various trailer types (containers, dry vans, refrigerated units)
- Clean driving record (MVR), plus pass Clearinghouse, PSP, background check, and drug screen
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Good English communication skills (reading and writing)
- Ability to work independently
- Commitment to safety: maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
