Sumary:
Supervise the operations team to ensure compliance with maritime, land, and air operations. Ensure compliance with the operational performance indicators required according to company policy: Operational Excellence (Operational Audits), Productivity. Maintain communication flow and improvement points with other areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the logistics of local and international imports and exports.
- Ensure that each team member fulfills all of their obligations.
- Recruit, train, motivate, manage, and sanction the team of operators.
- Supervise and audit the processes of exports, imports, and/or projects monthly.
- Review and follow up on the daily operational report.
- Periodically review the area's closing and billing procedures.
- Coordinate and address the resolution of operational problems with clients, agents, and suppliers.
- Supervise compliance with current procedures for each product and within the scope of audits or identify and coordinate interdepartmental improvement actions.
- Coordinate and supervise cargo loss controls.
- Prepare quotes for agents.
- Supervise inter-office reconciliations and with suppliers.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years in logistics operations.
Experience in freight forwarding, ocean, air and international cargo handling.
