Job Function
To coordinate and control the quality of the work activities of a general worker and to pack and load furniture into any container or into or out of a vehicle or unload or unpack furniture, contributing to managerial decision-making.
Key Performance Areas
- Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment, as necessary.
- General admin duties
- Cold chain Management.
- Promptly report any aspect of any operation that could negatively impact on the safe working environment, natural environment, and/or the public.
- Maintaining accurate records of Loaded shipments.
- Assisting with loading and unloading of shipments as needed.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting any suspect dealings, activities, paperwork, admin trail, etc. to ISSI / ACTLINE.
- Ensure strict adherence to and compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure – Supply Chain Management.
- Stock taking and general stock related duties.
- Follow Dispatch/Loading Procedures.
- Correct stock handling.
- Ensure stock return procedures followed.
- Following up on stock related.
- Operation admin procedures (batching of invoices and route sheets)
- Route planning analysis and driver allocation.
- Loading of Stock.
- General Reporting and communication with other departments.
- Oversee loading of both refrigerated and non-refrigerated stock into the delivery vehicle.
- Conduct vehicle preload checks.
- Ensure that correct goods and quantities are loaded onto the truck.
- Forecast truck loads as well as demand.
- Allocate delivery routes to drivers and vehicle assistant.
- Ensure cold chain principles are followed.
Qualifications Required:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Related qualification will be an added advantage
Experience and Skills Required
- Related experience in a similar role for a minimum of two years.
- Basic Excel Skills and General Email Competence
- Namibian citizen or valid work permit
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
