Zoom Shipping is expanding! We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Operations & Sales Officer to manage end-to-end freight forwarding activities for our new branch in Oman. In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for bringing in new business, building client relationships, and executing shipping operations from quotation to final cargo delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, target, and acquire new business accounts (importers, exporters, and traders in Oman).
- Prepare competitive freight quotations, proposals, and service agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and account growth.
Shipping Operations & Execution:
- Manage day-to-day sea, air, and land freight operations for assigned accounts.
- Prepare and verify international shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Customs declarations).
- Coordinate directly with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and Omani customs clearance agents.
- Monitor shipment progress, handle delays or operational issues, and provide timely updates to clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of combined sales and operations experience in freight forwarding/logistics within Oman.
- Driver’s License: A valid Omani Driver’s License is mandatory (for client visits).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sea/air/land freight, Omani customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
- Languages: Fluent in English (Arabic fluency is a strong advantage).
- Skills: Strong negotiation, multi-tasking, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
