Lead a busy transport operation covering general freight, dangerous goods and abnormal loads. You’ll manage a fleet of approximately 25 vehicles, driving performance across scheduling, compliance, customer service and cost control.
What you’ll bring:
Grade 12 or an equivalent recognised qualification
5 years or more of transport fleet management experience, including a senior operational role
Proven dangerous goods transport and compliance experience
Proven abnormal load planning and permit handling experience
Strong computer literacy, including Excel and Transport Management Systems
A valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
What you’ll manage:
Daily fleet scheduling and dispatch
Dangerous goods and abnormal load compliance
Driver and transport controller performance
Customer quoting and service delivery
Operating costs across diesel, maintenance and tyres
Location: Alberton, Alberton North
Contract: Permanent, full-time. Availability required after hours and during emergencies.
