Logistics Account Executive
Jacksonville, FL | Direct Hire | 55-65,000/yr + Commission
Vaco is hiring a Logistics Account Executive in Jacksonville, FL. This role is ideal for individuals with freight brokerage, logistics sales, or 3PL experience who want to work independently while leveraging corporate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business relationships with shippers and customers.
- Manage the full shipment lifecycle: quoting, booking, tracking, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Negotiate carrier rates to maximize profitability and maintain competitive pricing.
- Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure capacity and reliability.
- Provide top-tier customer service, addressing concerns and resolving shipment issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Track and report on shipment status, financial performance, and key metrics.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or 3PL operations.
- Strong understanding of FTL, LTL, and intermodal freight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Familiarity with TMS systems and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
- An established book of business is a plus but not required.
- Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, commission-based environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows:$45-60k The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
