Scope
The Ocean Freight Pricing Support is responsible for the pricing of ocean and/or intermodal rates and defines the PSA BDP Transport products in the respective country.
Responsibilities
Set margins for new business in concert with management and regional team
Tender Pricing
Calculation & production of transport quotations in concert with sales
Analysis & optimization of existing transport business (solutions & margins)
Working on client specific transport solutions in concert with sales and regional team
Troubleshooting, need case escalate issues to regional/management level
Maintain strong relationship with local ocean carrier contacts
Customer visits in concert with sales
Safeguard core carrier utilization in concert with Regional Procurement
Safeguard data integrity in booking system
Work on RFQs in pricing system , enter RFQs on behalf of sales if needed
Monitoring of quote success
Reporting of country specific data to the Regional Director
Local carrier management with regards to general cooperation and payment conditions
Focal point for Operations and Sales to BDP Transport
Ocean operation execution experiences
Qualification / Experience
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum experience of 3 years of carrier or freight forwarding industry is required
Knowledge in MS Excel
Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyse situations and to make good decisions based on available information.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
Must have a charismatic and confident personality as well as an exceptional work ethic.
Good Telephone and Email etiquette
Good command of the local and English language
