Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a commitment to safety, a high level communication, critical thinking skills, punctuality, and professionalism on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks and vans for deliveries
- Obtain required documents at shipper docks upon arrival and delivery
- Experience with the use E-track and ratchet straps
- Ability to complete federal and company mandated paperwork
- Experience with loading and unloading freight using pallet jacks
- Ensuring all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving company vehicle
- Assist in moving goods within the warehouse or distribution center IF needed
- Flexibility to work various shifts IF needed, including weekends or holidays (bonuses included)
- Have a valid and active DOT medical card
- Knowledge on refueling DIESEL into duel tank trucks
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license ; must be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record in the past 24 months
- Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight
- Moving goods within the warehouse or distribution center IF needed
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks, truck ladder and tuck in liftgate
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Routine communication of delivery status with company assigned broker
- Knowledge and experience using an ELD properly
- Routine communication regarding ELD times, federally mandated work hours and daily breaks taken
Pay Range
15-18% gross weekly profit + BONUSES
