Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Multi-Drop Driver role based in Bradford. The Multi-Drop Driver will be responsible for completing scheduled collections and deliveries across West Yorkshire and UK-wide routes, ensuring all consignments are handled safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include planning delivery routes, loading and unloading goods, securing items in the vehicle, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. The role involves communicating professionally with clients and the operations team, adhering to all road safety and company policies, and conducting basic vehicle checks before and after journeys. The driver will be expected to manage multiple drops per day, adapt to changing schedules, and support urgent, same-day and next-day deliveries as required.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence appropriate for van driving, with a clean or low-points record, and confident, safe driving skills in urban and motorway environments.
- Experience in multi-drop delivery, courier, or transport roles, including route planning and managing time-sensitive consignments.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in handling goods, documentation, and customer interactions.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, colleagues, and customers, and providing clear updates when needed.
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and securing varied loads using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Familiarity with sat nav systems, smartphone delivery apps, or other routing tools to support efficient multi-drop operations.
- Flexibility to work varied routes and schedules, including occasional short-notice or urgent jobs.
- Previous experience in a courier, logistics, or transport environment is beneficial but not essential.
