Pay Range: $80K-$100K
Note:
- The Manager would like to bring someone on to specifically cover the workload (tracking trucks and dealing with any escalations) from Saturday-Tuesday, 2:00pm-10:00pm. They would be onsite in Hayward but may have to go to the client in San Jose if an escalation occurs.
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to oversee transportation operations and ensure the timely, safe, and efficient movement of freight. This role is responsible for managing carrier relationships, coordinating shipments, and handling transportation escalations for high-value loads. Occasional travel to a nearby customer site in San Jose may be required if escalations occur.
Day to Day:
- Manage truck brokerage and carrier relationships.
- Source, vet, and onboard new carriers.
- Negotiate transportation rates with carriers and brokers.
- Coordinate and monitor high-value shipments from pickup to delivery.
- Resolve transportation issues and shipment escalations promptly.
- Ensure shipments are delivered safely and on schedule.
Must have:
- 5+ years of experience in 3PL, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination.
- Hands-on experience working with truck brokerage at a brokerage company.
- Strong carrier network and relationship management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
