We are hiring for our offices in Piraeus a Land Freight Representative.
Job Description:
- Conduct market research and propose new products and new services related to the areas of his/her responsibility with the guidance of the direct line or Land Freight Manager
- Responsible for developing and promoting FTL & LTL shipments related to the areas of responsibility
- Negotiate with existing/new subcontractors, local Hauliers, Warehouses, Customs brokers for better rates with the guidance of direct line or Land Freight Manager
- Responsible to insert in the ERP system, ORIAN, the full suppliers DTLS ( Hauliers , Subcontractors etc ) including the served countries and follow up the expire date of their insurance related to the areas of responsibility
- Resolve all financial discrepancies with the suppliers based on the agreement with them, with the guidance of direct line or Land Freight Manager
- Make sure that cargo deliveries are handled according to the payment agreement of each customer
- Responsible for receiving and managing customer claims and resolve problems with the guidance of direct line or Land Freight Manager
- Create and update bookings to the local ERP system & filing up shippers, recipients DTLS existing or new
- Follow up bookings progress, resolve any problem occurs and inform sales dept accordingly.
- Contact shippers requesting and providing all mandatory information to process shipments.
- Provide detailed information to the customers regarding the status of their shipments.
- Organize local collections / deliveries of the goods
- Plan loadings and truck route
- Directly inform the drivers and give instructions for loading/unloading
- Resolve any problems with forwarding companies on the borders at the truck route.
- Check Invoices and CMRs form the providers (invoice auditing) & filling hard-copy documentation
- Create pre-invoicing for customers and sent to Account dept.
General Qualification:
- At least bachelor’s degree in business/Shipping/Logistics Studies from reputable Universities,
- 1 year of experience in Logistics industry
- Computer literate
- Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English
- Excellent negotiations skills
- Very good organizational skills
