The Junior Logistics Analyst will assist with analyzing courier and freight forwarder reports, consolidating transport and customs data, and filing/monitoring customs duty and tax claims.

Tasks:

  • Review commercial invoices and shipment documents to identify incorrect duties and surcharges
  • File dispute claims with couriers for shipments with incorrect charges
  • Communicate and report discrepancies to the Finance team promptly
  • Document all identified discrepancies and dispute actions internally for record-keeping and audit purposes
  • Follow up with couriers on the status of dispute claims until resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed to resolve shipment charge issues
  • Create and maintain KPIs and the necessary tracking spreadsheets relating to transport duties and taxes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in a Logistics or Procurement related areas
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Logistics, Procurement, Customs or related areas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and ERP systems; experience with shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx, DHL) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with SAP transactions, preferably within the MM (Materials Management) module
  • Experience interpreting commercial invoices and bills of lading
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations, tariff classification (HS code), and trade agreements (e.g., CUSMA/USMCA).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stay updated on changing tariff regulations and scenarios
