Instructor of Transportation and Logistics Jobs in Los Angeles, CA at Diversified Vocational College
Unique opportunity for professional growth and financial advancement. Seeking a qualified professional in the transportation and logistics field to provide vocational training in our accredited Transportation and Logistics Technology program. This position involves hands-on instruction and real-world applications to prepare students for careers in logistics, warehousing, supply chain management, dispatching, freight forwarding, and related fields. All classes are conducted in person; online instruction is not offered.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of related industry experience.
- Professional experience training others is strongly preferred.
- Experience with warehousing, dispatching, freight forwarding, supply chain management, importing/exporting, or shipping/receiving.
- Familiarity with logistics management software such as CargoWise.
- Experience with forklift operations.
Preferred Certifications
Possession of any of the following certifications is strongly preferred:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
- Six Sigma certification
- Freight Broker License
- Forklift Certification
- CargoWise Certification
- Other relevant industry credentials
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
