Role Description The Shipper/Receiver is a full-time, on-site role based in Langley, BC, responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of goods in and out of the facility. Day-to-day tasks include receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against shipping documents, and recording data in inventory or warehouse systems. The role involves preparing outgoing shipments, picking and packing orders, labeling and loading products onto trucks, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and food handling standards. The Shipper/Receiver works closely with production, logistics, and quality teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve shipment discrepancies. This position also includes maintaining a clean and organized warehouse area and operating material-handling equipment as required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying orders, preparing documentation, and using inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Skill in safe operation of material-handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) and handling of pallets and loads in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in counting, labeling, and recording product movements.
  • Capability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with logistics, production, and quality teams and respond to shipment issues.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry, email, and review of shipping documentation; experience with ERP or warehouse systems is an asset.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices; prior experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industrial setting is an advantage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in warehouse operations or forklift operation is considered beneficial.
