LOGISTEED-America is seeking an experienced Import Operations Manager to lead and optimize our Air and Ocean Import Operations team. This leadership role is ideal for a freight forwarding professional who combines strong operational expertise, customer focus, and team leadership with a passion for driving performance and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage day-to-day import operations across air and ocean freight
- Oversee team performance, productivity, compliance, and service excellence
- Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure standardized, efficient operations
- Support routing, transportation planning, documentation, and customs clearance processes
- Monitor key operational and financial metrics, including Accounts Receivable reporting
- Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, customers, and global partners to ensure timely cargo movement
- Manage escalations, solve complex logistics challenges, and drive customer satisfaction
- Train, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability and respect
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, TSA, security, and international trade regulations
What You Bring
- 5+ years of freight forwarding experience, including air and ocean import operations
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience
- Strong CargoWise experience and system expertise
- Proven knowledge of import documentation, transportation regulations, and customs processes
- Excellent auditing, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management experience
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
- Customs Brokerage experience and Dangerous Goods knowledge are a plus

Hiring Compensation is Starting At: $85,000. The annual salary for this position will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
