Are you a dynamic sales professional with a passion for logistics and transportation? We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker Sales Specialist to join our team remotely! In this role, you will drive new business development, build strong client relationships, and coordinate freight solutions across various modes of transportation. Duties
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new clients and grow existing accounts within the freight brokerage sector.
- Engage in proactive lead generation through cold calling, networking, and industry research to identify potential clients.
- Manage client relationships by providing exceptional customer service, understanding their logistics needs, and offering tailored transportation solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms with shippers, carriers, and other stakeholders to maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with trade regulations such as FDA standards and international trade laws.
- Coordinate transportation planning and shipping logistics across multiple modes including air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), and ground transportation.
- Utilize CRM software, EDI systems, and transportation management systems like AS400 to track shipments, update client records, and streamline dispatching processes.
- Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely dispatching, accurate data entry, and efficient freight forwarding logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in freight brokerage sales or logistics sales with a strong understanding of supply chain management and transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with shipping logistics including air freight, NVOCC operations, 3PL providers, and freight forwarding logistics.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance procedures, and FDA regulations impacting shipping logistics.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to build lasting client relationships through effective communication and customer service.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), Microsoft Office Suite, EDI platforms, and AS400 systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, contract management, pricing strategies, and dispatching activities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of motivation and accountability.

Pay: $157,072.77 – $168,732.80 per year
