WE’RE HIRING | Import/Export Team Leader – Logistics Specialist
Location: Alexandria, Egypt
Are you an experienced Import/Export & Logistics professional with strong hands-on experience managing international shipments?
We’re looking for an Import/Export Team Leader – Logistics Specialist to join a well-established Mechanical & Electrical company and take ownership of import/export operations from documentation to final delivery.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Manage end-to-end Import & Export shipments and ensure smooth, timely delivery.
* Coordinate with Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders, Truckers & Customs Clearance Brokers.
* Manage import/export documentation including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Euro 1 & Letter of Credit (LC).
* Handle shipments through NAFEZA & ACID systems.
* Select and evaluate carriers/routes based on cost, lead time & shipment requirements.
* Follow up closely on shipments, customs clearance and delivery timelines.
* Maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and logistics partners.
* Monitor import/export regulations and international trade requirements.
* Maintain accurate shipment and logistics records.
* Prepare regular Logistics & Shipment Reports.
* Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient logistics operations.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or a related field.
✅ 6+ years of hands-on experience in Import/Export & Logistics.
Important: Experience must be gained in-house within an importing/exporting company or end-user organization.
❌ Candidates whose experience is exclusively within Freight Forwarding companies will not be suitable for this position.
✅ Strong knowledge of Import/Export regulations & international trade procedures.
✅ Hands-on experience with NAFEZA & ACID.
✅ Strong knowledge of International Shipping & Customs Clearance.
✅ Fluent English communication skills.
✅ Excellent MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills.
✅ Strong negotiation, analytical & problem-solving skills.
✅ Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines.
✅ Strong coordination and communication skills.
Alexandria residents are must.
