About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator plays a central role in the smooth day-to-day operation of NMK’s JAFZA warehouse and logistics function. Acting as the key point of coordination between the ordering team, sales team, and accounts department, this role is responsible for ensuring all relevant information is communicated accurately and promptly to warehouse stakeholders. The Logistics Coordinator manages a broad range of activities spanning customs documentation, import and export operations, systems management, and physical goods handling, all while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Customs & Trade Compliance
- Manage Dubai Trade, Dubai Chamber COO, and Tasreeh gate pass accounts.
- Prepare all FZ-to-FZ transfer and transit documentation (invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, HS code summary sheets); ensure HS codes are consistent across inbound and outbound shipments.
- Submit customs documents, prepare JA Customs inbound/outbound reports, and follow up on BOE and exit documents. Maintain records per Dubai Customs requirements; preserve TOO documents permanently.
Export & Shipment Coordination
- Coordinate with customers and agents on export shipment requirements; assist with VOC inspections for KSA and Kuwait as needed.
- Arrange export packing (sea/airworthy), pallet fumigation where required, and courier collections same day or next day.
Warehouse & Inventory
- Receive, verify, and GRN incoming goods; stage and dispatch outbound shipments; maintain rack organisation and update locations in the ERP system.
- Lead the annual JAFZA stock count and take accountability for any stock discrepancies.
Systems, Reporting & General
- Manage ERP for all logistics activity; prepare logistics reports and maintain petty cash reporting to accounts.
- Respond promptly to customer and internal communications; escalate urgent matters immediately; ensure JAFZA compliance on safety, waste disposal, and workplace tidiness.
Education, Experience, and Key Requirements:
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in logistics particularly in Jebel Ali
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations and JAFZA procedures
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen on working in a fast-paced environment
- Patient and willing to learn and adapt warehouse and office work process
