Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, disassemble heavy equipment, inspect parts, and maintain the company’s heavy equipment and/or components in a professional manner.
Has a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on position.
Takes repair notes and submits daily.
Works independently.
Communicates with Equipment Manager and Operations Manager.
Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.
Prepares, inspects, and operates machines to minimize downtime.
Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts.
Informs what parts are needed for correct repairs.
Services and maintains equipment sold and/or owned by the company.
Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine and engine malfunctions and failures.
Uses safe working practices.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Makes recommendations for repairs.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required
Education and Experience:
2 years’ experience in heavy equipment and engine maintenance.
Physical Demands &
Competencies:
Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands, and hearing.
Squatting/Kneeling.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.
Heavy work that includes carrying, lifting, and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
Data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication, and math skills.
Safety and product knowledge.
Basic ability to search for and enter data into a computer.
Ability to type daily notes.
