Freight Sorter Jobs in Alpharetta, GA at Outliers Staff Mexico
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Freight Sorter to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting, organizing, and routing incoming and outgoing freight to ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, staying active, and working as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Sort freight, packages, and shipments by destination, route, or order
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
- Move freight to designated warehouse or staging areas
- Verify shipping labels, destinations, and package information
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labeled freight
- Use pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment as needed
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse policies
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Work with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, freight, shipping, or distribution experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Pay: $23.30 – $28.10 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
