Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Air & Ocean Import Forwarding Agent to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the importation of goods via air and ocean freight, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. You will be critical in coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication for multiple customers.
Duties
Manage the import process for air and ocean shipments from origin to destination.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other relevant import/export laws.
Coordinate transportation planning and dispatching of shipments.
Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage data entry tasks.
Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including customs paperwork and invoices.
Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status.
Assist in sales management efforts by identifying opportunities for service improvement and client retention.
Skills
Strong understanding of multi-tasking and shipment management principles within the logistics industry.
Knowledge of US Customs Regulations regulations related to importation of goods.
Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
Experience in transportation planning and dispatching operations.
Familiarity with logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Ability to work collaboratively with airlines and Steamship lines.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Pay: $23.05 – $27.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
