The Flight Dispatcher / Customs & Shipping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating flight operations and managing customs clearance and shipping activities to ensure timely, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of personnel, equipment, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch chartered and scheduled flights for personnel and cargo in accordance with operational requirements
- Prepare and manage flight plans, permits, crew documentation, and operational clearances
- Liaise with airlines, aviation authorities, ground handling agents, and airport officials
- Supervise customs clearance activities for import and export of equipment, materials, and spares
- Ensure compliance with local customs regulations, aviation laws, and company procedures
- Prepare and review shipping documents including AWB, BL, packing lists, invoices, and certificates
- Coordinate logistics for air, sea, and land transportation of project cargo
- Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and resolve delays or discrepancies
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for flight operations and logistics activities
- Support emergency, medevac, and urgent cargo movements as required
- Ensure cost control, safety, and compliance across all dispatch and shipping operations
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Aviation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- Flight dispatch, IATA, or customs/logistics certifications are an advantage
Experience:
- Flight Dispatcher: 5-8 years of experience in aviation dispatch and logistics coordination
- Customs & Shipping Supervisor: 8-12+ years of experience in customs clearance, shipping, and logistics operations
- Experience supporting Oil & Gas, offshore, or remote site operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and aviation procedures.
