Part-Time Dock Worker and Forklift Operator 2nd Shift
$21-$22 per Hour | Monday-Friday | 4:00 PM-8:00 PM
BSP Trans Inc has been providing the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP, our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.
We are currently hiring a Part-Time Dock Worker and Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. If you’re looking for a fast-paced warehouse position where you can stay active, operate forklifts, and work with a great team, we’d love to hear from you.
What you will do on a typical shift:
- Load and unload freight trailers safely and efficiently
- Sort, stage, and move palletized and non-palletized freight
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Secure freight inside trailers using load bars, straps, and other equipment
- Assist with freight handling, shipping, receiving, and dock operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and loading dock
- Lift, carry, push, and pull freight weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and over 70 pounds occasionally
What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a county-level background check during onboarding
- Basic math and counting skills
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Preferred Experience:
- Warehouse or dock worker experience
- Forklift operation experience
- Shipping and receiving experience
- LTL freight or transportation industry experience
- Experience loading and unloading freight trailers
- Material handling experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
