Position Overview

The Director of Warehouse and Logistics Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for the full oversight of Keystone Fireworks’ warehouse, logistics, inventory, transportation, fleet, retail assets, and domestic supply chain operations. Reporting directly to the company President, this individual will build and lead the people, systems, processes, and strategies needed to support more than 550 retail locations across 15 states.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic leader with a strong ownership mentality who can anticipate challenges, make independent decisions, develop a high-performing management team, and implement scalable improvements. The role requires someone focused not only on managing current operations, but on continually making the organization more efficient, accountable, and prepared for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Warehouse & Logistics Division with overall responsibility for warehouse operations, inventory production, shipping, transportation, fleet, retail assets, and departmental performance.
  • Lead and develop Managers and Supervisors, establishing clear expectations, accountability, measurable performance standards, and a culture of ownership and problem-solving.
  • Plan and execute seasonal warehouse operations, including staffing and work schedules, inventory production, skid builds, staging, truck loading, and deadlines required to support retail deployment.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and organization for product, raw materials, finished goods, retail supplies, and company assets across all warehouse facilities.
  • Develop and manage the annual logistics and transportation plan, including inbound freight, outbound retail deliveries, backhauls, product returns, third-party carriers, and Keystone’s internal transportation resources.
  • Manage Keystone’s commercial fleet and transportation compliance, including more than 100 seasonal leased vehicles, vendor bidding, DOT/FMCSA requirements, registrations, records, and related compliance programs.
  • Develop annual budgets, staffing plans, capital expenditure recommendations, and operational strategies while monitoring warehouse, labor, freight, fleet, and supply costs.
  • Establish and continuously improve systems, SOPs, and processes that increase efficiency, accuracy, scalability, safety, and accountability throughout warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Track and analyze operational performance, including productivity, labor, shipping costs, inventory accuracy, and other KPIs, and present findings and recommendations directly to the President.
  • Coordinate across Warehouse, Logistics, Purchasing, Retail Operations, and Executive Leadership to anticipate challenges, maintain clear communication, meet critical deadlines, and ensure the operation is prepared to support Keystone’s continued growth.

Qualifications & Leadership Expectations

  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365, is preferred.
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating teams of 10-30+ employees in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operational environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple projects, track performance metrics, and consistently meet critical deadlines.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven leadership style with the ability to operate independently, anticipate challenges, and make confident decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Managers and Supervisors, build strong teams, and create a culture of accountability and professionalism.
  • Strategic thinker who can also remain closely connected to day-to-day operational execution.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Commitment to building systems and processes that prevent recurring problems and improve efficiency year after year.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, initiative, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting retail or field-based operations
  • Previous seasonal or high-volume deployment experience
  • Bachelors degree or higher in and business-related field

Compensation and Benefits

  • $70,000 to $85,000 annual salary
