This is an hourly base wage rate position. Your annual earnings willrange between $57,000 and $100,000annually, depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, professional certifications, and years of experience. Your hours will follow a set schedule of days and hours withopportunities for overtime.

Position Summary:
A Service Technician will perform both engine and chassis repairs on primarily Kenworth trucks, but also Peterbilt, International, Freightliner, vocational vehicles, and other makes. The scope of the job includes diagnosis, troubleshooting, and writing detailed stories for documentation purposes in addition to the physical work done on the truck.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Reads job orders, observes, and listens to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunctions and plan work procedures.
Adheres to manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation.
Completes all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
Ensures customer vehicles are returned at the same level of cleanliness prior to being serviced.
Makes every effort to achieve production objectives set by management.
Develops and maintains friendly and courteous relationships with customers, visitors, and coworkers.
Repair, overhaul, and perform routine maintenance on diesel Trucks and Equipment according to factory specifications.
Inspect and repair engines, drivetrain, hydraulic, fuel, air, electrical, HVAC, brakes and suspension.
Move customer trucks and equipment in and out of work bays, drive customer vehicles as needed for test drives (employees with CDL).
Meets all federal, Minnesota state, and local regulations.
Performs work as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership, factory, and customer standards.
Utilize testing equipment,precisioninstruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, cranes, and hoists as needed.
Maintains a clean and professionalwork environmentincluding tools, equipment, shop and service truck to high appearance standards.
Completes all required electronic and other documentation as required by customers, and suppliers.
Attends training classes as required.
