The Opportunity
I’m currently working with well-established freight forwarding clients searching for experienced Entry Writers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit full customs entries for air & ocean freight shipments
- Ensure compliance with all US Customs regulations and import requirements
- Classify goods and review key shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.)
- Liaise with customs authorities, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth clearance
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve clearance issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and industry changes
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Customs Entry Clerk within freight forwarding
- Hands-on experience handling full entries across both air and ocean freight
- Strong knowledge of US Customs procedures and compliance
- Experience using customs systems (e.g., ABI software)
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Competitive salary of $50K – $75K + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401k)
