About the Opportunity
Unified Logistics Operating Group is seeking experienced freight brokers to join our team as Independent Customer Sales Agents (1099). This opportunity is ideal for established logistics brokers with a transferable book of business who are looking for an aggressive commission split, unlimited earning potential and the freedom to manage their business from cradle to grave.
As a Customer Sales Agent, you will be responsible for managing and growing your existing book of business, prospecting new opportunities and overseeing your shipments from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow your existing book of business.
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Source carrier capacity and negotiate rates.
- Oversee shipments from pickup through delivery (cradle-to-grave).
- Resolve service issues and provide exceptional customer support.
- Maintain accurate customer and shipment information within the company’s TMS.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of freight brokerage or transportation sales experience.
- Existing, transferable book of business required.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain revenue.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing the complete freight brokerage process and load life cycle.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a transferable book of business by providing a trailing 12-month volume/revenue report with an emphasis on activity over the most recent 90 days.
