We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering freight across various routes. This role requires an individual who is self-motivated, reliable, and has a passion for driving. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
Duties
Operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers.
Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo details in accordance with DOT regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
Manage maintenance and repairs of the truck to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize manual transmission skills when required for specific vehicles.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles with a strong understanding of freight operations.
Familiarity with various truck types including dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers is preferred.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining logs and records.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
