Duties
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer with manual transmission, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Secure loads properly on flatbed trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- Maintaining punctuality and excellent customer service
- Document delivery details accurately and complete necessary logs for compliance purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, or any issues encountered during trips
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as flatbeds.
- Strong knowledge of load securing techniques and freight handling procedures
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Experience with driving and delivering freight efficiently.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
