Behnke, Inc. is looking for a dependable, organized Truck Dispatcher to coordinate driver schedules, assign loads, and ensure freight is delivered safely and on time. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate well under pressure, and enjoy solving problems in a team, we’d like to talk with you.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatch drivers for on-time pickup and delivery of freight
- Monitor routes, driver progress, and delivery performance
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and management throughout the day
- Respond quickly to delays, service issues, and schedule changes
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation
- Follow established operating procedures and company standards
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dispatch or logistics experience preferred
- Knowledge of trucking operations and DOT regulations is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a structured environment with regular coaching and feedback
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- One weekend per month (typically morning hours)
- Occasional after-hours phone availability
