Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and tankers. Responsibilities
Operate various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and tankers.
Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Utilize manual transmission when necessary for specific truck types.
Operate forklifts for loading and unloading tasks as required.
Experience
Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver is preferred.
Familiarity with route driving and navigating using GPS systems.
Experience with freight handling and loading/unloading procedures.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
Previous experience driving refrigerated trailers or tankers is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations pertaining to truck driving.
